‘Asia-Europe III’ 2016

After ‘Asia-Europe I’ and ‘Asia-Europe II’, both very successful International touring exhibitions, the third Triennial is planned by a new curator and organizer: Marika Szàraz.

Marika Szàraz has a long experience in Tapestry and Textile Art.  She has been involved in the organization of many exhibitions, it gives her the opportunity to propose a prestigious exhibition.
The ‘Deutsches Textilmuseum’, the ‘Jean Lurçat Museum’ and the ‘Janina Monkute-Marks Museum’ are already looking forward to the “Asia-Europe III” exhibition with a lot of interest.
Contacts are made to schedule the coming exhibitions, but the exact dates are not yet confirmed. The proposed periods depends of the museums and their programs (start September 2016).

Opening Asia-Europe 3 in Lodz, PL

The Asia-Europe 3 exhibition was opened in the  Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź, Poland on the 7th Sept, 2017 and it will be open until 12th Nov, 2017 Kakuko Ishii (JP): Musubu, 3 x á ø 50 cm, paper string  In the opening curator Marika Szaraz gave a speech: The Asia-Europe Fiber Art exhibitions where founded in 2009 by Erny PIRET.  The concept of the Asia-Europe exhibitions is to show the rich and creative imagination of European- and Asian textile artists through their specific cultures.
 The exhibition presents a particular vision of textile and fiber art works, signifying that artists exclusively use the technique to express themselves. If Asian works are authentic, and their culture is a continuation of their traditions, Europeans have nothing to envy, they have every reason to be proud of their ingenuity, diversity and originality. Convinced of these qualities I have accepted works, that are executed in traditional Asian techniques, only created by Asian artist

Asia-Europe III opens in Lithuania Asia-Europe III exhibition opens for the 3rd and last time in the beautiful museum of Janina Monkute-Marks Museum-Gallery , Kedainiai, Lithuania on 12th Jan, 2018 at 5 pm.
