The Asia-Europe 3 exhibition was opened in the Central Museum of Textiles, Łódź, Poland on the 7th Sept, 2017 and it will be open until 12th Nov, 2017 Kakuko Ishii (JP): Musubu, 3 x á ø 50 cm, paper string In the opening curator Marika Szaraz gave a speech: The Asia-Europe Fiber Art exhibitions where founded in 2009 by Erny PIRET. The concept of the Asia-Europe exhibitions is to show the rich and creative imagination of European- and Asian textile artists through their specific cultures. The exhibition presents a particular vision of textile and fiber art works, signifying that artists exclusively use the technique to express themselves. If Asian works are authentic, and their culture is a continuation of their traditions, Europeans have nothing to envy, they have every reason to be proud of their ingenuity, diversity and originality. Asia-Europe 4 exhibition opens in Musée de la Tapisserie, Tournai, Belgium from the 1. March to 28. April, 2019. After Tournai the exhibition travels to Germany and opens in the Deutsches Textilmuseum Krefeld at the 12. May and will go on until 18. August, 2019. Next stop for the Asia-Europe 4 exhibition will be in Dronninglund Kunstcenter in Denmark from the 19. April to 7. June, 2020.
